This new adventure will help them develop new friendships and strengthen old ones, bringing them closer to God and ultimately to each other. Can they protect their identity, defend their faith, survive danger, and make it to Mass on Sunday?

A savory mix of danger, drama, and a dash of romance makes up the seasoning for this clean, family-friendly contemporary fantasy.

If the above sounds interesting to you, then you are in luck. Octave of Stars is the first entry in the YA Christian contemporary fantasy series The Torchmouth Saga, and it will be released episodically right here between November 27, 2023 and April 29, 2024.
In addition to the text, there will be music tracks to score the story, and a few extra treats thrown in here and there. I’m so excited to be able to share this story with so many new people, and help get it in front of more readers than ever before.

If you’ve read the book before, not only are you awesome, but you’ll remember that Episodes were what I called chapters, there were only 16 of them, and they were quite long. For this version, the book Episodes will be split up into much smaller chunks of 3000-4000 words, to make it much easier to digest.

This release uses Substack Sections, which helps with organization and also grants you the reader an important option. If you’re interested in getting new Episodes of the story every Monday and Thursday over the next 22.5 weeks, just click that button!

If it’s already clicked, you don’t have to do anything at all.

If, however, you’d like to opt out of the posts, just go to your Account page and unclick the appropriate box. There are several reasons why you might do that. Maybe you’ve already read the book (hooray!). Maybe you read a few Episodes and realize it’s not your thing. Anything is fine.

In the mean time, get excited for a “captivating,” “refreshingly clean” contemporary fantasy that’s aimed at young adults but entertaining for the whole family.
